Health Insurance Exchange ChecklistThe initial open enrollment period for the public health insurance exchange (Healthcare.gov or your state’s version) ends March 31, 2014.

If you want coverage to begin on April 1, you should enroll by March 15.

Note: Not everyone purchases health insurance at a public health
insurance exchange

If you have insurance through your employer, check with human resources for information on enrolling in coverage.

If you purchase your own insurance, check with your insurance broker/agent for the best options for your needs.
